Hello, I'm Isobel, but most know me as the fortune teller from Le Cirque des RĂªves. Would you like me to read your future?
(RP/ask blog for Isobel from The Night Circus)
"If we're gonna work together you might wanna try trusting me a little bit."
:
Groot frowned softly at the woman, straightening to his full height. “I am Groot.” /I do trust you./ The tree moved closer to the woman, bending his torso again, in order to show he wasn’t attempting to threaten her.
“Can I please read the runes then?” She asked as the pulled a small velvet bag from her pocket.
“You obviously aren’t that good with jokes then.” Peter shrugged and turned away.
“Quite the opposite, I’m just not fond of hurting people’s feelings.” She’d spent many years finding the politest way to tell someone that the cards are revealing an awful future, and it never ended well.
Peter frowned at her. “I wasn’t hurting anyone’s feelings.” Though, in all honesty, if it was funny for him, it didn’t really matter how the other person felt.
“I guess you’re right.” She knew there was no changing his mind, but there was no point getting into a debate over nothing.
John looked over at the woman and frowned. “Not at all - I know all about this town, down to every little detail. It would be impossible for me to get lost here”
He looked at her again and thought for a moment. There was no harm in telling her, he eventually decided. “My sister - and possibly her boyfriend. I’ve been told that their plans are not definite as of yet.” John informed the stranger. He didn’t have an issue with Peter showing up too - quite the contrary, when the cartoonist wasn’t being so infuriating, they got on rather well. What John had an issue with, was that Wendy was being very vague. She knew how important plans - especially definite ones - were to him.
“So are you three planning on visiting the circus?” It had never been to Neverland before, in all it’s years of travelling. She was looking forward to exploring the town when she had a free moment during the day.
“I wasn’t even aware of the circus until I arrived here.” John pointed out. It wasn’t normal to have a park suddenly transform into a circus overnight. In all honesty - it threw John, and it was uncomfortable for him to have things change without any warning. “And what sort of circus opens at night?” He asked, frowning at the very idea of such a place.
She smiled. “Le Cirque des Rêves, The Circus of Dreams. It’s a rather magical place.”

“May I ask who it is you’re meeting?” Isobel hoped she wasn’t prying, but she loved making conversation with people outside the circus besides reading their fortunes.

Isobel smiled slightly. “You know, that would have been a bit of a mean trick if my mother was alive.”

“You just don’t seem like the kind of person who waits outside Le Cirque 8 hours before it opens.”
“That may be - but I am actually meeting someone here, in…” John took out his pocket watch, nodded to himself and put it back. “Fifteen minutes.”
